Shipping/Receiving Clerk
QC Industries, incorporated in 1981, is a manufacturer of high end low profile conveyors. QC Industries offers several standard products and is continually developing new and innovative products. We are a leader in the low profile conveyor industry. We sell to various markets including but not limited to packaging, pharmaceutical, automation, stamping, food and the plastics industries. Our facility is located on the east side of Cincinnati near Eastgate Mall in Batavia, OH. We have a new modern facility, pleasant work environment and state of the art operations.
QC Industries seeks a career minded individual to join the organization as a Shipping/Receiving Clerk. This entry level position will require the successful candidate to be Reliable; a self starter with ability to pay great attention to detail is needed for the receiving position. The candidate will be expected to help in any capacity to insure quality and on-time delivery deadlines. The applicant must be able to handle a fast paced laborious work environment and must possess the ability to work well with minimum supervision.
Essential Functions
- Create custom packages, process essential documentation and ship orders according to specified methods using shipping manifest system
- Count, sort or weigh incoming material to verify receipts of items on packing slip or invoice
- Sort incoming receipts and route to destination
- Deliver any & all maintenance, repair and operation supplies to requisitioner
- Support the movement of material through the non-conforming area
- Support the assembly and testing of orders
- Aid in the general maintenance of building and grounds
- Responsible for completion of projects as assigned by immediate supervisor
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other work related duties as assigned
- Responsible for assisting in any and all other aspects of the production department when others are unavailable
- Comply with all corporate and departmental procedures
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous receiving and shipping experience required
- Previous computer, carpentry and fork truck driving experience a plus
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- Detail oriented
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Good verbal and written communication skills
In addition, this position will allow the person to grow into greater role responsibilities as opportunities in the company arise.
