Oompa-Loompa-Doompa-Dee-Do

Chris Thompson, Marketing Coordinator at 3:55 pm on Friday, October 31, 2008

One of our most cherished traditions at QC Industries is the annual Halloween celebration. Each year we have a costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest and a creative edible treat contest. The costumes get more and more creative every year as our employees trying and top the best costume from the previous year.

Congratulations to this year’s costume contest winner, Shawn Boyle, a buyer in our purchasing department, for her spot-on Oompa-Loompa costume. The pumpkin contest was won by Mike Daumeyer, our purchasing manager, with his hungry pumpkin and the creative edible treat contest was won by Dan Prince, a mechanical engineer for his spider web treats.

Happy Halloween!

QC Communicator – October 2008

We’ve just sent the latest edition of the QC Communicator, our quarterly email newsletter. This edition features a story on a large pharmaceutical client that is using our Flextrac and InnerDrive conveyors. The conveyors were part of an overall solution by integrator Equipment Depot (formerly Portman Equipment). Read the full story on our website. And don’t forget to subscribe to the QC Communicator so you’ll be the first to know when we release updates and new products.

Wordle Me This

Chris Thompson, Marketing Coordinator at 2:08 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Last night I stumbled across a neat little web application called Wordle. It creates graphics based on whatever text you supply. Words that appear more frequently appear larger than those that appear less frequently.

When I ran the text from our Conveyor Selection Guide through the Wordle system, I was impressed with the image it came up with. It sums up what we do here perfectly, so I thought I’d share it with our blog readers.

Click on the image above to see it in its full glory. If you create your own Wordle, we’d love to see it in the comments.
